Church High New Bursary Scheme Print E-mail

Leading Girls' School Launches New

Bursary Scheme

"The distinctive ethos of the school stresses personal growth and achievement in a supportive environment, and the girls are excellent ambassadors for the school. They leave with not only high academic standards but also as poised, mature young women with clear moral values, a strong sense of their own worth, a care for others."

(ISI Inspection report - September 2004)

Church High is delighted to announce the launch of a new Bursary Scheme.

More girls can now benefit from the superb environment at Church High, where they will achieve the highest academic results possible. They will develop into articulate young women who become independent learners with questioning minds, who possess a range of transferable skills to succeed at the best universities and in the most competitive careers.

What can we offer you?

Our new Bursary Scheme can offer reduced-fee places up to 100% of tuition fees, from age 7, in both Junior and Senior Schools from September 2006, subject to parental income and academic ability of the student.  This does not replace the Scholarship awards which currently exist and are not means-tested, but will widen access to the excellent education Church High provides for girls from age 2½ to 18.

Church High welcomes applications now.  Full details and application forms are available from the school office:

Junior School  - 0191 281 3347

Senior School - 0191 281 4306

Why Church High?

When your daughter joins Church High, she will embark on a journey which will lead her to take responsibility for her own learning and personal development.

Her journey may start in our Nursery, where girls join us from the age of 2½ or at any age up to Sixth Form entry at post 16.

You know that you want the highest academic standards for your daughter, but her happiness is of equal importance.  Church High successfully blends consistently high academic achievement with a supportive and friendly environment which empowers girls to maximise their full potential, both academically and personally.

The benefits of our phased programme of investment provide the best facilities, whilst we uphold the strong traditions of a girls' school with 120 years experience of educating young women to the highest level.

Inspirational teaching throughout the school, enhanced by recent innovations such as the installation of Interactive Whiteboards, leads to a love of learning and growth in self confidence. This most up-to-date, multi-media technology results in raising the impact of teaching and stimulating pupils' learning.  Small class sizes lead to fast progress.

A very warm welcome awaits all our visitors, of any age,  at any time during the year.  Come and experience our  unique ethos and atmosphere. Happy children learn more, their minds are more relaxed and consequently more receptive.  This leads to a successful school career and excellent academic achievement from Infants to Sixth Form.
